Performance Nutrition

In athletic competition, as little as 2% dehydration can decrease performance by 10%, and improper nutrition can have similar effects. Lead by our on-site Sports Dietician, our Performance Nutrition program offers first-class services, including ongoing assessments, nutritional planning, and education, to help athletes reach their fullest potential. By decreasing recovery time and increasing muscle generation, nutrition training is an essential part in our motorsports training program.

Assessments

Throughout the program, athletes receive numerous body composition assessments and individual nutrition consultations to discuss specific nutrition goals. Athletes will leave with a report on their body composition progressions over the course of training.

Types of Assessments

Body Composition:

  • Resting Metabolic Rate
  • Fat Mass Assessment
  • Lean Mass Assessment
  • Circumference Measurements
  • Pre and Post-Training Pictures

Nutritional Blueprints:

  • Current Diet Analysis
  • Caloric Intake Calculations
  • Daily Nutritional Allotments

Nutritional Planning

Based on the results of individual athlete assessments, nutritional plans for all phases of training (pre-workout, workout, and post-workout) are specifically designed to help meet individual performance goals. Our Sports Dietician designs appetizing and nutritious meals, quick snacks, hydrating drinks, and replenishing supplements to give athletes the fuel they need.

Education

Our Sports Dietician also teaches these nutrition concepts to SVSP athletes in small group workshops so they can continue to properly fuel their bodies after leaving our facilities. Athletes will learn proper hydration techniques, game-day nutrition, supplement do’s and don’ts, and even get a grocery store tour to educate athletes on products that will maximize athletic performance.

Whether it’s weight gain, weight loss, or maintenance, our nutrition training program gets athletes the results needed to achieve and maintain success.
